Getting to Know Your Skin Tone

Rule #1:   Know Your Skin’s Undertones:

Yellow/Golden
Olive
Pink/Red
Blue

Light – cool : Caucasian skin tone, with a more blue undertone, skin burns easily in the sun.

Light- warm:  Caucasian skin tone, normally tans easily when exposed to sun and has a yellow undertone.

Medium Dark Warm Skin Tone: - For medium honey skin with golden undertones that tans very easily. Works on lighter skinned African American, Indian and Hispanic skin.

Dark Warm Skin Tone: -For deeper caramel skin with neutral to yellow undertones

Deep Dark Skin Tone:- For cool- rich espresso skin with deep yellow and red undertones

Darker skin tones should consider not using too dark of powder foundation or concealer as it does tend to darken with oil absorption.

It is VERY important to know what spectrum your skin tone qualifies under, in order to properly find the right skincare and beauty products for your skin. Beauty essentials such as concealer and foundation, even eyeshadow look the best when properly matched and paired to the correct skin tone, – because let’s face it, there’s nothing flattering or appealing about mismatched foundation or concealer!
